Biography
Fabiano Scherner is a heavyweight fighter from Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Fabiano started Jiu-Jitsu when he was 26 years old and received his black belt from BTT Masters Murilo Rupp, Murilo Bustamante, and Roberto Bebeo Duarte after 3 years and 11 months of training. Scherner, a decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, has won the Santa Catarina State Championships 14 times and is a six time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion.
He currently fights for Team Quest out of Portland, Oregon. Fabiano was the 2005 IFC Americas Heavyweight champion. He has appeared in UFC Ultimate Fight Night 2, UFC 60, IFL 2008 Vegas, and Galaxy MMA.
In his last Galaxy fight, Fabiano threw an unintentional kick to Scott Junk's groin. After Junk could not continue, the fight was unfortunately ruled a no contest. Look for Fabiano to demonstrate his Jiu Jitsu skills in the near future.
